When you complete the program you will have the opportunity to gain the knowledge of trucking skills needed to complete the requirements of the CDL Class A licensing exam*.

You can expect to gain these skills and information from industry-experienced instructors:

  • Vehicle inspections
  • Standard backing requirements, including offset backing and parallel parking
  • Size and weight laws
  • Tractor-trailer  mechanical knowledge
  • Defensive driving

What Does CDL Class A Training Do For Me?

CDL truck drivers provide transportation for countless amounts of goods. The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects the need for big rig drivers will increase by 5% by the year 2028.

CDL Professional Requirements

Applicants must provide acceptable documentation to validate when necessary.

  • Valid driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record review* 
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must pass a DOT physical and drug screening. 

*Motor vehicle record reviewed for active points, violations, and accidents

How Much Do CDL Drivers Make?

The median annual wage for heavy and tractor-trailer truck drivers was $43,680 in May 2018. The median wage is the wage at which half the workers in an occupation earned more than that amount and half earned less. The lowest 10 percent earned less than $28,160, and the highest 10 percent earned more than $65,260.
