Ancora Education (“Ancora Education”, “we”, “us”) is committed to safeguarding your privacy online. What personally identifiable information does ancora education collect from me?

Web Beacons

We and third parties employ on our sites a software technology called Web Beacons, that help us better manage content on our site by informing us what content is effective. Web Beacons are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, Web Beacons are embedded invisibly on web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. Web Beacons generally work in conjunction with cookies, registering when a particular computer visits a particular page. We tie the information gathered by Web Beacons to our customers’ personally identifiable information.
We also use Web Beacons in outgoing HTML-based emails to track success of marketing efforts, so we can improve our systems. Internet Protocol (IP) Address

Ancora Education’s servers also automatically identify your computer by its Internet Protocol (IP) address. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer by your Internet service provider. Your IP address does not identify you by name, however, it may reveal your geographic area and your Internet service provider. Ancora Education may match your IP address to your Personal information.

Computer Profiles

Ancora Education may also collect and accumulate computer profile data which will help us understand and analyze the Internet experience of our visitors. For example, Ancora Education may collect data relating to the type of browser used, operating system software, screen resolution, color capability, browser plug-ins, language settings, cookie preferences, search engine keywords and JavaScript enablement.

Click Through URLS

Ancora Education may send you e-mail messages with a “click-through URL” linked to the content of the Site. When you click onto one of these URLs, you will pass through our server before arriving at the destination webpage. Ancora Education may track this click-through data to help us determine subscriber interest in the subject matter and measure the effectiveness of our subscriber communications. You can avoid being tracked simply by not clicking on any links or images in the e-mail.

Domain Name Tracking

When you visit the Site, we automatically record the name of the domain from which you accessed the Site. Additionally, if you got to the Site by means of a link from another site, our computers will note the fact that you came to us from that linked site.

Mobile terms & conditions

Program Description: STVT-AAI Education, Inc. (“Ancora Education” doing business as Miller-Motte College, Berks Technical Institute, Arizona Automotive Institute, Edge Tech Academy, McCann School of Business & Technology, Creative Circus, South Texas Vocational Technical Institute, Platt College, Ancora Corporate Training) provides a mobile alert program (the “Program”), subject to these Mobile Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”). If you do not wish to continue participating in the Program or no longer agree to these Terms, you can reply “STOP” to any mobile message from Ancora Education in order to opt out of the Program.

User Opt In: The Program allows users to receive, among other communications, SMS/MMS mobile messages that include alerts, event and enrollment information, admission assistance, and information about Ancora Education’s educational services by users affirmatively opting into the Program, such as through providing your contact information and requesting information online, and/or confirming your opt-in by replying to an opt-in confirmation message. Regardless of the opt-in method you utilized to join the Program, you agree that these Terms apply to your participation in the Program. The mobile messaging service used by Ancora Education to communicate with you requires human intervention for mobile messages to be initiated, and nor does it have the capacity to randomly or sequentially generate telephone numbers. Thus, Ancora Education’s mobile messages are not sent to you by an automatic telephone dialing system (“ATDS” or “autodialer”). Nevertheless, by participating in the Program, you agree to receive autodialed marketing messages and/or prerecorded calls to the telephone number you provided, and you understand that consent is not required to make any purchase from, or enroll at an Ancora Education campus/brand.

Cost and Frequency: Message and data rates may apply. The Program involves recurring mobile messages, and additional mobile messages may be sent based on your interaction with Ancora Education from inquiry and throughout enrollment and attendance at an Ancora Education campus/brand.

User Opt Out and Additional Commands: To opt out (discontinue participation in Program), reply “STOP” to any message you received from Ancora Education on your mobile device. This is the easiest and preferred method to opt out of the Program. You may receive an additional mobile message confirming your decision to opt out. The Program may recognize or respond to additional commands and keyword queries, such as:

You may receive additional informational text messages based on your interaction with the Program, even after opting out of receiving the Program’s recurring alerts. You acknowledge and agree that, notwithstanding any prior opt-out attempt, you consent to receive further messages from or on behalf of Ancora Education that result from your continued communication with the Program. Ancora Education may also provide you instructions on how to rejoin receiving the Program’s recurring mobile alerts when you unsubscribe. You agree that you are subject to the Terms, including any modifications thereto then in effect, when you re-subscribe to the Program through any of the available options to do so.

Please also note that replying “STOP” to any Program text message (i.e., text messages from short code 65197) will only result in opting out of Program text messages from the 65197 short code (or the short code then being used by Ancora Education), and will not affect or otherwise opt you out of receiving other communications from Ancora Education, including, but not limited to, emails, voice telephone calls or text messages sent from another telephone number. For example, an Ancora Education admissions representative may be separately communicating with you via text message, and texting “STOP” to a Program message will not opt you out of this separate communication. If you wish to opt out of receiving all telephonic communications from Ancora Education, you should instruct the Ancora Education admissions representative you are working with to place you on Ancora Education’s internal do-not-call list.

MMS: The Program will send SMS MTs if your mobile device does not support MMS messaging.

Program Warranty: Ancora Education will not be liable for any delays or failures in the receipt of any mobile messages connected with this Program. Delivery of mobile messages is subject to effective transmission from your wireless service provider/network operator, and is outside of Ancora Education’s control.

Miscellaneous: You warrant and represent that you have all necessary rights, power, and authority to agree to these Terms and perform your obligations hereunder, and nothing contained in this Agreement or in the performance of such obligations will place you in breach of any other contract or obligation. The failure of either party to exercise in any respect any right provided for herein will not be deemed a waiver of any further rights hereunder. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that this Agreement will otherwise remain in full force and effect and enforceable. Any new features, changes, updates or improvements of the Program shall be subject to these Terms unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing. Ancora Education reserves the right to change these Terms from time to time. Any updates to these Terms shall be communicated to you. You acknowledge your responsibility to review these Terms from time to time and to be aware of any such changes. By continuing to participate in the Program after any such changes, you accept these Terms, as modified.

How does ancora education use my information?

Ancora Education’s primary goal in collecting information is to provide you, the user, with a customized experience on our Site, and to service your request. This includes personalization services and interactive communications.

Ancora Education may post customer testimonials/comments/reviews on our web sites, which may contain personally identifiable information. We do obtain the customer’s consent to post his/her name prior to posting the testimonial.

Updating/Accessing/Amending/Correcting Personally Identifiable information

Opt-out Request

Ancora Education respects your communication preferences and our desire is to provide you the information you desire in the format that works best for you and your family. Students who are currently enrolled may not opt-out of receiving email or telephone communications.

Surveys or Contests

From time-to-time we may provide you the opportunity to participate in surveys on our site. If you participate, we may request certain personally identifiable information from you. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary and you therefore have a choice whether or not to disclose this information. The requested information typically includes contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code).
We use information collected to monitor company efforts to reach our target audience, as well as to understand how our audience perceives these efforts.
